When four cousins, previously strangers, are united by their inheritance of an old house in rural Normandy, their investigation into the story of their ancestors takes them on a journey to 19th century Paris where an old age is dying and a new, Impressionist age  is about to be born. As their quest leads them to discover more about their history, the family may yet be surprised in ways no one could have imagined and learn that despite their differences, they’re all shaped by a past they never really knew until now.

“Monet meets Mamma Mia in this charming French artist comedy.” – The Guardian

““Colours of Time” doesn’t want to surprise so much as to please, and the multiple, largely antagonist-free storylines are just charming enough to keep the absence of real conflict from becoming a problem.” – Variety

“There’s a fairy-tale element to this – and once the famous names start to be introduced, including Sarah Bernhardt, it becomes obvious it’s no history lesson – but that suits the crowdpleasing material well.” – Eye for Film
